Is work same as an office job?

So we have all the euphesims and quotes regarding work. But then in this age, how easily have we concluded that work is the job we do in the office. I am sure many of us will agree that it is not the same. Work is well work and a job is a job. You do a job to earn a living but you work to know and understand the purpose of your being.

In our common lingo, we talk about going to work, we have 'at work' status lines while we are doing our job, we call our offices as 'this is where I work'. How so very easily has this work and job been fused into one.

So we get fed up with our jobs and say, I dont like my WORK. Well, its not work at the first place. Its our job. Jobs are a fall out of the era of industrialization. Gone are those days. So now we may be doing our jobs, but work is where the action is.

The sooner we realize this difference, we will be moving towards understanding what we are intended to do and what we are doing. This will be a reality check for many of us.

Scientifically, work is force multiplied by time. You need force to do work. In most cases, this force is absent. Time is constant as everybody has it in equal measures of 24 hours a day. So the force required becomes the determinant to GROW. You MOVE in a job but you GROW in work.
